Problem with Skymiles Computer
 

In June, I flew DL 106, 107 LA_JFK_FRA. I received appropriate credit plus the transcon bonus. About a week ago, I received an additional transcon bonus. Yesterday, everything was deducted from my account- the flights and the bonuses. When I called today, I was told the computer was acting up, but they are keeping a list of people who call. When the computer glitch is fixed they will reinstate the flights.

same thing happened to me. I received one extra 6K bonus. Glad I wasn't the only one!

Same thing happened with me. They said they will restore things back by tomorrow.

Just checked. Mine is still there. Phew!

Not only did my transcon bonus disappeared, the flight (and segment and miles) went, too!

They promise to fix within 48 hours.

I spoke with a SMS rep who took my info, put me on hold and contacted the SkyMiles help desk on my behalf. Came back with in two minutes and told me that they are aware of the problem and should have it fixed by friday. If it's not fixed by fri I should call back--didn't need to be told that. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif They were very apaolagetic and seem to be handling what I consider a frightening situation rather well--at least considering what's going on over at UA: see "2000 Miles" post on the UA forum.

I have to say I was quite happy when I logged on this morning and saw others in the same boat. Until I knew I wasn't the only one I was wondering whether I was being punished by RPU or something. DL comes thro'! As promised they have restored our accounts to the state they were in on 25th.

On 26th morning when I looked at my balance I almost fainted, the balance had been halved.

I was hoping and expecting that DL would correct its screw up efficiently and they did!

Mine came back too, but so did (seemingly) duplicate TRANSCON bonus which seems to be the cause of the whole mess.
Any idea what will happen to them?

My account is back to its previous condition, too. I also SEEM to have duplicate TRANSCON bonuses. Not sure if the duplicates actually are contributing to my mileage total. Reconciliation would take a while with all the activity I typically have.

My balance is correct, but the detail does not show the last 1K bonus for www booking which inccreased my blance 3 days ago. I wonder how the information can be there and the agents see it, but I can not see it on the web. Sounds like serious problems at DL IT dept.

When I e-mailed DL they responded and said I would see it on my next statement. Does this mean the web site will no longer be real time. I doubt it, just SERIOUS problems. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif
