referring to Dawn's post above, I believe domestic award tickets in fact can be upgraded. not sure if it is only for PM or ?

That's coming soon, but I don't believe it's started yet.

How would the award ticket upgrading work? Using miles? Cash?

Same as the current complimentary upgrade system. Platinums would be lower than a Silver with a companion upgrade (revenue tickets clear first), but higher than non-elites paying for the upgrade and non-revs. I think Golds are eligible for this too.

NW has been doing this for a while...it's an actual improvement to DL flyers from the merger.

Got it. So international awards (in the BE cabin) would not be eligible for upgrade. Too bad...

Yes, I think this is amazing, 25k miles transcon with upgrades!? hooray Delta!!

(It seems to me that a lot of travelers use this venue to vent their frustrations with Delta, I would like to go contra and say that I love flying Delta. I am proud of the airline and I enjoy all the benefits that come with being a loyal delta traveler)

That's my favorite one at JFK...though if you've got a flight out of Gate 4 or so at JFK, then you'd be making a hike.

thank you!

can you enlighten me on the difference between, say BE and T2 CRC (the one by the 20+ gates on the upper level? the website only goes so far to highlight the amenities (wow.. tmobile hotspot.. gee).
any differencce in bar/snacks/overall comfort?

i'd be willing to take a hike.. i am usually the last one to board anyway... i will have a good reason this time. sure beats 'e train was late' :D

"bar/snacks/overall comfort" should be the same unless the room has undergone refurbishing.

If you are out and about at the same time as me, I'd be happy to meet you and have you as my guest in the CRC (I can have 2 guests at a time).

Here are my current travel plans:

ATL 18 Sept, 2005 - between 5:30P and 7:00P
ATL 23 Sept, 2005 - between 4:00P and 7:00P

My favorite CRC is the A-Centerpoint (ie on 9/23), but it is not open on weekends (Sat-Sun). So if I have time, I go to the E concourse. If not (ie 9/18), I'll be in A17 or one of the B CRCs depending on my flts.

Feel free to post your layovers for others so any of us can find times when we can get together.

^

Edited 19 June 2006 to add:
AviationKiwi has added a Yahoo Calendar for the CRC meeting thread - check it out!
(it does require Yahoo registration)

Is this calendar still active and if so is there a common Yahoo ID and Password to access the calendar for those of us who do not have a Yahoo account? Thanks :)
