I hope this is the case, though I don't think so.

I routinely use the SAN CRC with X on my ticket. The one time I tried with V I was denied.

Now that I remember, she would have let me in with V only if I had an international destination. (or an Amex other than my green one)

_____update______

Now that I remember, that V was SAN-ATL and not SAN-JFK (premium market). In fact, every flight SAN-JFK has international origin/destination hence the X instead of V on the u/g

I stand corrected... your comment is accurate... I just had to think it all out!!! Cheers!

Glad I could help :). Enjoy your CRC access.

which brings my back to my original request...

Can anyone provide CRC access at JFK tomorrow morning (1.31.2009) around 6am?

Upgrades to X do not mean anything other then the plane you were upgraded on has its front cabin labeled as business, most likely because it is a continuation or termination of a flight on the same itinerary (same number) with an international destination/origin.

Now, if your saying this because SAN-JFK is a premium market which allows you to get into CRC since you got the upgrade, then yes, thats correct. It doesn't matter on domestic itineraries whether your upgrade class is X or V, its merely a formality. CRC access depends on the route.

Well, I scanned through the notes but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. Here are my questions:
If upgraded to X, does this come with CRC access automatically? Is it only on certain markets? If so, is there a list of those markets?

Thanks,

Feb. 14 Valentines Day, I'll be in the ORD CRC around noon, and, if I have time, a very brief stop in ATL (prob. terminal E) around 4. PM if you want in.

My husband and I will be flying in on the red eye from SFO....will have a 3 hour layover before heading over to Barbados.

Any generous folks out there that would let us be their guests? (Can you take in two folks at the same time?)

Hubby is 60......me in my 40's....(I tell you that so you don't think we are a bunch of 20 somethings looking for free booze!). We are going to Barbados, but we don't leave until 9:30 a.m. Last year to Budapest/Amsterdam, we had access because we went first class....not this year :(

Would love to have some nice cushy chairs after attempting to sleep for 5 hours on the leg from SFO to ATL.

Much appreciated.....

Let me know. We leave tomorrow night at 11:00 p.m. out of SFO.

Dawn

It looks like we are on the same red eye flight. However, I'll have my whole family with me and we'll be going to a CRC together, so I wouldn't be able to bring any more folks into the same CRC.

I might be able to do one better than CRC access in ATL. I'm Platinum, my wife and son are Silver, and we've all already been upgraded for our SFO-ATL leg. If you are on upgradeable fares, I could request companion upgrades for both of you. There are currently still 3 seats in F for sale, so there's a good chance that there will be some additional upgrades available. My wife and son are Silver Medallion on U fares, and they easily cleared. In fact, I just checked, and it looks like there is V upgrade inventory available now, so all Silver Medallions have been cleared. If the request is put in soon, the upgrades might even clear in advance. This could be even more useful for you as you would be allowed to check bags for free.

I'll send you a PM as well.

Dawn --I am scheduled to land at 8:49 on B concourse and depart at noon from C. I will likely go to the C concourse CRC unless gates change, but am solo so can bring +2 in with me. PM me if you still need into CRC.

If Dawn doesn't need in, I'll still be +2 so anyone is welcome to PM me as well...

PDX-RDM-AVL-TPA -- I have never had any luck getting someone upgraded like that (aren't they supposed to be on same PNR?)... that is a very nice gesture if it works. Good luck!

Thank you for your GENEROUS offer. Since our flight is leaving @ 9:35 a.m., by the time you get off the plane and to the lounge, we'll probably be ready to board. But thank you!!!!!

I couldn't upgrade if I had all the tea in China. Our flights are via an award and award tickets can't be upgraded, but again, thanks to everyone for being so generous.

I haven't heard back from the other offer....I gave him my cell phone number and I suspect if he has time, or even wants to bother taking time away from his family (I can certainly understand not wanting to do that), perhaps I'll hear from him tonight.

We plan on having a nice dinner @ SFO tonight....even though it will be pretty late, there is a nice italian restuarant, although if we really want to try and "sleep," it sure would be easiest to do so w/out have a full belly.

Too bad we can't get into the lounge tonight at SFO! We'll be there for a few hours before we can get on the plane.

Thanks again every one....

Dawn

I'm in the T2 CRC at JFK right now. Chilling out in the quiet southeast corner. Just saw a CRJ catch fire! No kidding, right there in the taxi-way between the gates. Crazy! I'll be back here all afternoon if anybody is here too, say hello! I have a green t-shirt on.

w0r1dtrave1er Feb 15, 2009 10:14 am

referring to Dawn's post above, I believe domestic award tickets in fact can be upgraded. not sure if it is only for PM or ?
