Error when I try to pre-select meal
 

This has been happening every since I selected the Shake Shack Burger a few weeks back on BOS-MCO flight. Now when I try to select my entree I get "Entree Failed To Save - We are unable to save your request right now: Please try again later." This is the third time now and my wife is traveling with me has the same issue in the app. Also , my daughter who's on her own reservation not linked to ours and she purchased the ticket not a complementary upgrade has the same issue. Is this a known bug at this point ? The first time it happened I chatted with an agent and they were able to set it correctly after trying to figure out how to do it in a 20 min chat.

It happens to me almost every time as well HOWEVER I am always one who declines the meal option so I thought that was my issue.

Yes, happens frequently (for me). You just have to keep trying. Eventually it will go through

It's most definitely a bug somewhere, but root cause is unknown. I have experienced it before and resolved it by calling to select a meal, but just selected for two flights later this week with no issues at all. It's very strange...

I decline it every time but the App won't save it. The FA then asks, "Sir, you did not select a meal option..." Seems like a simple fix.

Delta definitely broke something on their side within the past month or two as there are a lot of reports of this.

Figure out which you want, then call up ask the agent to put in your meal code choice since you keep getting an error. Also submit a complaint to DL that their app is broken and meal selection doesn't work.

Currently experiencing a new flavor of this. As of this morning, the "View Meal Selections" button has disappeared from all my upcoming itineraries that were eligible for meal selection, and clicking the email link displays an error "IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S US." Some of these were flights I had already selected a meal on, some not. It was working yesterday.

Update: Looks like this is now working again.

Still not working for me. It saves my preference with a check mark, but says the entree failed to save. Does anyone know if this means it is saved?

Go to pnr.sh and input your trip info. Look under SSRs and see if a meal code appears. It’ll be something like PBML (beef meal), PCML (chicken meal), etc. Basically P_ML where _ represents your selected meal choice.

I recently selected a meal for a domestic flight, got the "failed to save" message, logged out and back in, and saw that the selection was in place.

I also recently received a similar message while changing a seat assignment. Logged out and back in; new seat was already assigned.

I sometimes wonder if Delta's systems have developed the digital analog (I know that's a contradiction) to a psychosis based on so many past failures that it simply assumes it won't be able to accomplish the requested task and is just as surprised as we are when it actually does.

Meal ATL-ELP-ATL
 

Does anyone know if I'll get a pre-select option from ELP to ATL for this Monday. I did get the additional choices for ATL to ELP for tomorrow, but so far nothing on the return. Thanks.

Is it the 6AM flight? They can't double-cater this return flight (there is no DL meal catering in ELP) with typical hot meal selections since it's a RON flight and it will have a limited menu.
