Today is Flag Day in Mexico, Independence Day in Estonia, Dragobete in Romania, Carnival in multiple countries, Zhonghe Festival in China, Earth God's Birthday in Taiwan, Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia, Shrove Monday in Germany, and National Tortilla Chip Day.
Carnival in Italy has been cancelled due to the WuFlu.....also Venice fashion week and the Armani show in Milano.

I'm not feeling in a holiday mood at all, despite the relative warmth and sunshine today.

Not far from there is the back gate to some place that probably doesn't exist.

GB today; we’re staying in Richfield tonight and Cedar City tomorrow, and were early enough that we decided to do Bryce today rather than rush to get there on tomorrow’s jaunt to Capitol Reef and Escalante Petrified Forest ... we’ll do Zion and the west part of Grand Staircase/ Escalante on Wed

I'm sorry, but Ely is a town in England about an hour from Cambridge with a cathedral. It's a nice excursion for afternoon tea.

I had to take a TDY to LAS earlier this year. GSA contract on SAT-LAS is WN. I was able to get DL on the outbound with appropriate justification but no good DL (or AA) options on the return that supported my mission needs so I was stuck with WN. At least I managed to snag an exit row and the flight was empty so I even had an empty middle seat next to me. Happily been able to get DL for all the other TDYs I have coming up over the next couple months.
