DL removes westin heavely blanket in domestic F?

Got the normal light, Y blue blanket in the past three F flights.... and I see they remove the Westin heavenly blanket thing from the domestic first class experience page... is that true or my experience is single case? Thanks!

Removing blankets as winter approaches? That's cruel and unusual punishment.

Well, we got nicer pillows so it only makes sense we had to give something up in return... the Delta deity does not give without appropriate sacrifices...

I have noticed this as well. Had a nice 763 with flat beds from DTW the other day and the blue blankets just aren't long enough! Oh well.

Maybe too many of them ended up on E-bay... The DL blue ones actually seem to be a bit bigger based on Ebay listings (60" x 45" vs. 60" x 40"). I don't think these are the same as Y blankets (which are generally felt, not woven).

My SAT-JFK flight on Tuesday also only had blue. I didn't think anything about it. 1)lots of flights recently for me had a mix of blue/gray blankets in F. 2)they can't even cater butter/creme cheese/jam for the bagels on this flight. The FAs were embarrassed as this isn't first time to happen on the route.

They remove the blankets every six months for laundering.

You sure it’s that frequently?

I noticed this also. Any reports if they are still being offered in PS?

Seems cheap to me. If they are disappearing just have the FA's collect them at the end of the flight.

I haven't seen those silvery gray blankets put out in the F cabin in a while. Most were the blue ones lately, although I did see a silver one still in the bag stuffed in the corner of an overhead so I grabbed it to use for the flight.

The blue ones and silver ones are so similar in color, I strongly doubt that the people loading the blankets pay attention to or even notice that there is a difference. It is a very, very rare flight that I see all F seats having the silver blankets. Usually its a mix and match. I try to board early so I can swap blankets if I am given a blue one.

I've been getting nothing but blue blankets lately, as well.

I'm sure TheHorta or MSP will be along shortly to move the discussion to down comforters in D1.

When they first released them, it seemed like F had a mix of blue and grey, and Y still had the really cheap red ones, and that both the blue and the grey were considered Westin blankets. Am I remembering that correctly?

I also wonder if this has anything to do with Marriott? Perhaps the Westin branding is going to go away and they are beginning to cycle it out before they announce a new partnership?
