New Uniforms?
 

Just heard on the local news tonight that DL is rolling out new uniforms tomorrow? That's quite a secret. There was some purple, but not like that hideous stuff they were trying over a year ago!

Flew from SLC to ORD today and they specifically made an announcement regarding the change tomorrow.

As far as I remember, only the female FA uniforms have a lot of purple. The male FA uniforms have purple more as an accent.

Female FAs, Gate Agents, and Sky Club will all have the all purple uniforms. Female Red Coats will be all red.

I just saw this picture of the crew for the first flight with the new uniforms in action. (SIN-NRT) It's going to take me some time to get use to this.

Wow! I was quite skeptical of the purple, but they turned out great! Looks really classy!

One of the fitting, order stations has been in process for the past couple months in the ATL E concourse near the SkyClubs.

I bet Zac was pissed at whomever fitted the male all the way on the left- everything is super baggy and the sleeves of his jacket are almost covering the entirety of his hand

I love the new uniforms! You can find a lot of examples by googling “Delta new uniforms." Employees have been posting their uniform fitting pics and feedback on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with #DeltaReadyForTakeoff . Delta made a short YouTube series (links below). Two important changes that come to mind are Airport Customer Service women have their own dress separate from In-Flight Service; it's the one with two red lines running across the torso. And Sky Club and Ticket Counter/Gate Agents will be wearing identical uniforms.

There has been so much complaining about the new uniforms in the other thread, most by people who lack any sense of style or imagination. Personally I love them. I feel like they bring together mid-century modern, Star-Trek and contemporary flare all at once. I'm also really happy to see a departure from everything red, blue and white with Delta. It was time for more colors!

Who does Delta think they are?!
