Regardless of what they think, wouldn't you agree that since Delta is focused on increasing paid F passengers that they should make sure they are treated well and meet their expectations? If a paid F passengers sees the free upgrades being treated better then what is the incentive to buy F again? Also, sometimes when I get upgraded, I realize my ticket last-minute may have been quite a bit more than any advance purchase. Even in F. Point being - everyone in F is there for a reason, and no one is "better" or "more deserved" than any other pax. Period. I also doubt in-flight has same access to DL details as someone sitting at a desktop using DeltaNet. |

If if was consistent then I would agree. It isn't. Sometimes it is FEBO, sometimes it is just front to back no matter what, and then sometimes the flight attendants take orders by Medallion rank. I think FEBO is the only official policy and like I said if FEBO is in play then I don't mind if I don't get my first choice. That said, whenever I'm in J on a wide-body, they almoost always seem to start at Door 1L - work their way to the back of the J cabin - then cross over to the right side aisle and work their way forward. How does that fit into policy? |

I don't necessarily agree with this. The other guy got what he paid for, RWYA is asking to get what he paid for. A policy of paid F tickets getting priority on meal choice, especially given the fact that we know they don't cater enough of many options, makes sense (even though it's clearly NOT the current policy)
This I totally 100% agree with. Making a scene in front of the other passenger is way over the line. If he had a problem he needs to address it with the FA in the galley and mostly he needs to take it up with DL corporate instead of dragging an innocent passenger into it. Plus it's really creepy to like keep track of everyone in F and figure out who's on an upgrade. |

I would bet that 90% of F pax have NO IDEA what FEBO is, or, if there's even any certain order they're supposed to use!

I always choose a seat in the middle of the cabin on meal flights to try and cover my bases. The only trouble then is a rogue flight attendant that jumps around the cabin. |

I would use the word "ROGUE" for a GA who allows Shena to sit in F when people are on the UG list, but, to call a FA rogue, simply because they use one of the different possible procedures to take meal orders??? Seriously??? It's not a published benefit to go by FEBO.

The fact of the matter is that free upgrades are never to be expected. Only as a pleasant surprise. As someone who purchases F seats I have the expectation of receiving the published benefits of that class of service.
Now, let's look at a route like MCO-JFK where there is typically only one meal choice on breakfast flights. What if something went wrong and not enough meals were catered. Do you think paid F passengers should get a meal before those on Medallion upgrades? |

DL is focused on treating the most profitable customers well. I frequently buy H or higher tickets and don't come to complain when, during a a busy workday flight, I end up in a main cabin seat in the back half of the plane.

All I know is that last week, as # 3 of 11 for 3 (GM on an high$ M fare), I got a free upgrade to 1D on a "big" BarbieJet and 1C flew empty with 8 on the list behind me. Broken seat maybe? Didn't look broken. I probably would have caused a scene if I were #4 .
