Help with cancelation fee.
No sooner than I finished making two flight bookings using miles I realized I was off by one day. Can't call Delta because they close at 7PM (10 minutes ago). Went to cancel online and it wants to charge me $150 for each booking to redeposit the miles. I thought I had 24 hours to cancel.
Update....was able to get through to to rep, she is making the change for me. System wanted to charge $150 but she is able to waive the charge.. |
Suggest using Skype to call a U.S., 24-hour number: +1-800-221-1212

Silly me. I thought Delta was open 24/7. Even so, you still have tomorrow.
Oops....... I see you took care of it. |

Glad OP has the issue handled. DL struggles with timezones, so who know how they handle that thing out at GMT+12.
Seriously though, It is nice to see that 24 cancellation is available despite country of sale (it used to be US only). |

At this time Risk Free Cancellation for itineraries originating outside the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico or Canada cannot be completed online. Please contact Delta Reservations at 1-800-221-1212 or by using Delta’s Worldwide Phone Numbers. |
DL has allowed for a long time. They just updated the wording so people know they have to call to cancel. Before it said US can be done online, and people would complain why can't international. It's been DL policy to cancel international tickets the whole time, though not required.
