I haven't seen an ad on FT in years.

Ad Blockers prevent the irony of seeing a DL ad touting the greatest newest DL "enhancement" right next to the post detailing the reality of what that enhancement is going to cost us.

WFBF!

Seriously though OP, I haven't seen an ad in years. Many browser plugins are available to help reduce, if not eliminate, most of the ads out there.

First off, when using FT on a cell, the ads cover text, and thus block portion of comments. 2nd, on my laptop I use ....... plus and have never had problems since I installed three years ago. All websites work great, and without 5he nasty autoplay ads that are becoming common.

Finally why is this in the DL forum? More exposure and more help blocking ads if it was posted correctly.

FTM: Its the right thing to do. The product is the best of all the forums and a bunch of entitled "experts" whine that they should get it for free. I think only post counts above 20K should get it for free and only in certain threads. The DYKWIA thread for example should have a no free access rule imposed (and then un-imposed, and then imposed again).

Because then there would be no need for a thread saying I'm out of here because of all of these ads.

LOL. How many of these "I am outta here because of pop up ad" threads do we need every week.

Isn't it against FT terms of service to use/discuss ad blocking software?

I figure the data that I contribute is worth more to the site than the ad income.

This isn't against FT TOS. What makes you think it is?
