Gogo Price Explodes
 

I've been out of circulation a bit as the new job doesn't require travel. When did the price of a flight pass for Gogo explode? Previously $12 - today $29.95.

I am ashamed to say that I still paid it, but looking forward, will prepare to work offline on future flights.

What was your routing? I believe it's based on distance of flight, but yes, the price is definitely steep (but, like you, I still paid $50 R/T BWI-SLC for it though :)).

The few times I've used it was for work (i.e., I wasn't paying for it) and the performance was fairly pathetic. I had given up on it for a while, then I tried it again last month to see if it had gotten any better, but it was still pretty bad.

I might try again next year.

It is related to the length of the flight. Longer flights easily reach the $25-30 mark. Buy before you go and a 24 hour pass is always what, $16 these days?

Hmmm, I'm still paying $39.99/month.

I didn't plan to fly for a month and put mine on hold. Well the situation changed. I reactivated. Yours will remain at $39.95 for the time being but if it gets cancelled all bets are off and it goes up.

I noticed this the other day. And the speed was so slow as to be unusable. I wanted to get a refund but couldn't contact Gogo since the page wouldn't load. It was $29.95 for a day pass, $19.95 for a flight pass.

I've had the subscription since Delta started offering the service. Twice I've had my credit card on file expire and they jacked the price up both times. I have to remember to update my CC before it expires!!!

GoGo isn't good enough or consistent enough to command this type of price.

I use the Delta App in flight and use GoGo gratis. It was not working at all on my flight DCA-MSP Monday morning.

If your employer is willing to pay this for you, that's great. I'm self employed and just don't think GoGo is worth it.

You must have missed the email where they told you about the price increase... to $59/month!

I paid $3 for 30 minutes on a flight a few weeks ago which I thought was a pretty good deal. That was enough to rebook my hotel and rental car since I last minute got standby on a different flight to a different city due to IRROPS, and download/synch up my email.
