LAX to SFO shuttle delay delay and delay

Always wanna try this shuttle since delta start it couple years ago. Free drinks and snack on board attract me since paying the same price you get nothing on UA and AA. However, my evening flight delayed about two hours ( don't know the reason), online shows this flight on time rate is only 40%. Really? If it always delay, how can you call it shuttle???? We'll, any folks have the same experience?

Btw, the flight was full.....

I have never been served a snack on UA or AA in Y. And I think the OP is referring to the speciality snack offering on the West Coast Shuttle:

It might have to do with the fact that SFO is a very delay prone airport. Once it is no longer sunny, massive flight delays can occur.

Here's the discussion from last year: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...ttle-fail.html

And here's the discussion from 2013, right after it was rebranded a shuttle: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...shuttle-7.html

And here's the discussion from 2012: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...s-delayed.html

LAX to SFO shuttle delay delay and delay

On the bright side, there's usually enough space that if you are proactive about delays, you can hop on an earlier shuffle.

Try LAX-SJC
Better weather in SJC most of the time

I assumed the normal drink service. The OP cant really be making a decision based on a bag of pretzels?

The snack service is nice but the delays are horrific. What I've found with AA at least Ibb the morning flights to LAX is that the quantity of connecting passengers, especially to Asian flights, deters delays.

No, but the West Coast shuttle offers more than a bag of pretzels.

SJC has weather issues about one or two mornings a year when there is dense fog. SFO has weather issues when there is a cloud in the sky. I don't like flying out of SFO.

I still do not think it would sway me one way or the other. Total value = $2.50. I have had those Luvo snacks... eh.

Which is $8.95 at airport prices.
