RUC question
 
Is there any way to determine if an RUC has been coded correctly? I know this was a problem with SWUs where one did not get the right priority because oF such issues. Do you just have to wait till the upgrade list becomes available and see if your position looks reasonable?

That's about it. You can always call back and ask another agent to check, but there's no guarantee the next agent knows what they are doing either.

Fortunately with RUCs (but not GUCs), you can at least check for yourself whether upgrade space has opened up -- do an advanced search for your route for fare class Y and check the "upgrade availability" link. If it says "upgrade available" then it should be possible for your RUC to clear, at which point you could call and ask them to look into it. If it says "upgrade eligible" then nothing has changed.

I notice that when mine are coded correctly for a waitlist my profile changes from "Medallion Upgrade Requested" to "Upgrade Requested."

Certificate and complimentary medallion upgrades used to have different inventories. I think that is still the case.

This is very helpful. Indeed mine has changed for the segment I requested an RUC to be applied, but not the return.

Also very interesting is that where one goes to select or change seats, there are now two duplicate outgoing segments, one of which says that you can only view seats. I have never seen that before. Maybe that represents the ticket waiting for an RUC upgrade.

Yes, THIS^^^ too.

I thought it was a bug they would work out but it is still showing up currently.
