C+ Seats Changed and Now No Selection
I've been watching my June flight several times a day due to Delta changing equipment frequently. I have 2 C+ seats reserved. I just looked to make sure the seats were the same and now it has the plane full from front to back and moved our seats to the other side of the plane exactly where we didn't want to be. The seats were sporadically taken when I looked yesterday and there were several C+ seats left. Even F seats were sporadically taken and now the seat map is showing F seats full from front to back.
After all that rambling has anyone had any experience with seat 20F on the 757-200 75X? It is a window seat with no seat in front of it because of the exit row. On seat guru there was a complaint that something jutted into the seat and the seat basically sucked. I specifically did not choose this seat because of that, but now we're here and there's no other C+ seats available to move to. I know the odds are the seat map will change again, but in case this is it I'd like to be prepared. |
When is your flight? I would normally suggest trying to grab a better seat at the upgrade windows, but this obviously won't work if FC is really full.
There's no indication of status under your username, so can we assume that you paid the the C+ seats? |

You can't "upgrade" with miles on an award ticket, although you can cancel the tickets for $150 each, redeposit the miles, and get a new FC ticket with miles provided that there is FC award availability (and that you have enough miles).

Try tomorrow. Saturday is update day at Delta. The seat map will likely be back to normal tomorrow (maybe later today as well).

If the seat map is mostly full this far in advance, and you had a schedule change today, the seat map is probably locked until the computer is finished with its updates which happen on Saturdays. Check back tomorrow and you'll likely find quite a few seats open that aren't showing open today.

The OP may be suffering from DL assigning different configurations of 757-200. If he paid for Comfort+, he'll get Comfort + or a refund. It may not be the specific Comfort + he wants.

Of course, but the OP says this:
I'd bet that the seat map will look much more like yesterday's, tomorrow morning. |

As for 20F, the emergency slide juts out a bit so instead of being able to stretch your legs straight out, you have to angle them slightly to the left. No big deal really. If you were in 20A before, this seat also has the slide jutting out into the aisle as well. That being said, 20ABCF are the best in Comfort+ on a 75X configured bird, so you will have an abundant amount of legroom no matter what (except for 20DE). |

My first piece of friendly advice, step away from your computer. I am a notorious seat map checker as well, but only a few days out from my scheduled departure date.

While checking the seat maps multiple times a week will certainly drive you crazy, I think NOT checking the seat maps til a few days before departure is equally as ill advised. There are FREQUENT posts here of seats being changed involuntarily or disappearing all together. If you wait til a few days before to check the seat map, and your seat has been moved to a cr@ppy one, it'll likely be too late to change it to something decent.

Absolutely. I should've been more specific; I check the seat map multiple times a day a few days before departure, but only once or twice a week before that. Of course, this is what I do. OP can do whatever they want
