I did $50K of purchases on my Amex Plat card on 12/30 and 12/31 so I should be getting 2014 credit for 20,000 additional MQMs which should give me GM for 2015. The bonus MQMs have NOT hit yet, but given my statement date is 1/16 this isn't expected to happen until tomm or the next day. We'll see.

For you rollover does matter immediately, but in a negative way in your case. If your MQMs were to post first, before rollover, you would become GM almost instantly. Now it may require manual intervention to undo the rollover, bump you up to GM for 2015, and then recompute your rollover.

As of today, January 16, my rollover MQMs have still not posted. I sent an e-mail to Delta customer service on Wednesday and am awaiting a reply.

My rollover posted sometime yesterday afternoon through this morning.

Interestingly enough, Skymiles Account Activity shows "POSTED ON JAN 14 2015", which was earlier than they actually posted.

General population? Likely few. But here on FT? More than just a few, I'm sure.

Case in point!!! ;):D Haha...

Should be all done in about 1 week once next AMEX GC order posts ^

As a side note shooting for sub 2k MQD spend and about 60K MQMs earned this year!

As expected, had 20K Amex MQM bonus finally hit this morning...back-dated to 2014-12-31 giving me GM status. Interestingsly, they did NOT adjust the 18K rollover! So at least for now I have GM and the same 18K rollover ( I estimate it should have been knocked down to a 13K rollowever..e.g. take the 18K in MQMs I had in excess of silver then use $7K of the Amex bonus to reach the 25K needed to make GM, that should leave 13K to rollover to 2015).

Another slight issue is that I flew on 1/14 while still in Sliver status so the mileage bonus I got was reflective...now, even though I have GM status effective 1/1 they did NOT seem to update the bonus for that flight...but I'll take an extra 5K in MQMs over that any day!

Ok this is get a bit ridiculous, it's January 18th and my rollover haven't hit. My last flight was 12-17-14 LAX-MSP. I have almost 15K in Rollover due. It's not that hard to complete. I had a 48 MQS and just over 49K MQM. I know it doesn't effect my status now or near feature.

Then why do you care? Seems like complaining for the sake of complaining

What part of "Late January" is so hard to understand?!?

Agree, but didn't DL say that they were going to only make 2015 status last until 1/31/16 because they have newfangled technology that allows them to finish audits, post rollover, and update status much quicker than in the past?

Taking up to the last week in January to do all of that this year doesn't particularly make me hopeful for next year. If they are still finalizing 2015 mileage on 1/20/16 and there's an error, very possible that things don't get resolved before someone's status changes on 2/1/16.

Not sure of the reason for the change but think you meant 1/31/16, not 15.

Personally have no concern about this because many (most?) won’t have a status change or if it goes down, not in any hurry to see that posted anyway. Heck, they could post rollover in June or October or whatever for most of us and it won’t matter.

All we are talking about is a posting, not a calculation. Really only might impact those flying early Feb whose status is higher in 2016 because of the rollover. Maybe there will be a few outliers but can’t be too many.

Hope this is your greatest worry for next year. ;)

If you ended 2014 with 49,000 MQMs, shouldn't your rollover be 24,000 rather than 15,000, assuming that you met the MQD requirement for FO or earned a waiver?

You are correct on the date. Fixed my typo. Thank you!

And I agree that it's not really a concern. I just find it interesting that on one hand DL is saying they're getting faster but on the other things seem to still be taking quite a while to figure out.

IIRC, when DL publicized the 1/31/16 change it was explained by saying that they were now faster at posting miles/auditing things and felt they would be able to make all relevant updates, issue new credentials, etc. more quickly. Not specifically rollover but just tidying up the past year in general. I suppose it could make a difference for someone with a late-December partner flight that pushing them to renew their current status, and that not getting resolved before they drop down a level on 2/1.

I mistyped its 39,202 MQM for 2014. As for MQD, I cleared DM with $13,434 to retain my Silver. I am just surprised it takes this long to post given only 48 MQS and many common trips that there isn't anything to audit. Since it will take me a bit to get to GM(hopefully this year) it's not a big deal. I just don't look forward to calls and emails to get my rollover back.
