I agree with you, but wonder how many pax in F really pay to sit in that cabin, and in any case, would the manifest make a difference between paid F, including A or P, and upgrades?

AFAIK the manifest only shows who is a nonrev, although OPUPs might be obvious too. Fare classes of F P A G R RP and RU or the equivalent codes for business class are on the boarding pass but at least recently did not show on the manifest, which does show DL and partner elite status level and MM status.
