Looks like some flights have been added to the schedule. I now see options opening up for the return via LAX or SLC.

Either they set the airfare too low and people snapped up seats like mad, or perhaps the seatmap indicates that Delta sold large blocks of seats to vacation providers that have not yet been resold but are not available to delta.com either.
This is not a normal period...and they didn't set the fares too low. This is peak travel day to a popular vacation/time share destination the first Saturday after new years. They knew exactly what they were doing and will print money on the flight. That's why the OP can't get the flight they want. That travel date is going to be tough on most routes given how the calendar falls. New Years Day on Thursday, few will be returning to work on Friday.

Yes they did set the advance purchase fares too low. I am sure that if Delta had set the price even lower, the flights would have sold out 330 days out. :rolleyes:
Just look what happens when a mistake fare is reported on FT: a buying frenzy develops!
