I have to think that some re-training is in order for this FA, and, perhaps, for all FAs to help give them some perspective on which issues warrant a "Stop the Plane!" call to the flight deck.

Thanks so much for throwing in a mile wide photo, making the otherwise worthwhile discussion almost impossible to follow. Please use common sense when posting.

Thankfully no one was killed the FA had some bruises from being banged around (And I'd venture to guess some brown trousers.)

If you click on ChevyCruze's name, then click ignore on the drop down, it solves the problem.

@Pharaoh, I'm sorry that the picture was a literally a MILE long and that it's causing undue stress and burden on your ability to follow this thread with such life or death earnest that you can't take a joke. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to my knowledge of re-sizing the picture since the only way to upload a pic is copy/paste the link, unlike other forum websites that offers picture editing tools. |

What are the four things for which the pilot should abort a takeoff?
Below 80 knots you'd reject the takeoff for many things. Between 80 knots and V1 you'd reject only for an engine failure, fire, loss of directional control, or a situation which puts the ability of the airplane to fly in serious doubt. After V1 you don't reject the takeoff. |
Years ago, we were on a 727 from ATL to CAE. The plane was full, and for some reason we had a very rough takeoff roll. Just as we rotated, there was a hard bang, like what you get when you hit a pothole in the road, and that cause the oxygen mask for our row to deploy.
We touched nothing but the call button, and the flt attendant quickly put the mask back where they belonged. Still, it made for a scary moment. |
