Hate fact that I spend >$50K a year on Delta, but when I want to redeem a simple award to fly on vacation it is impossible 5. Hate fact SWU's don't apply to any fare like AA 6. Hate Choice benefits are so much worse than AA 7. Hate fact surveys that are emailed never focus on skymiles or service just seat quality and whether the window has scratches ??? 8. Hate fact that there is never one award to South Africa on Delta less than 380,000...Kinda wondering why someone does not sue Delta for fraud on this route. Wow, that's a whole lot of hate there. ;) But, then I saw that the OP lives in DC and it all makes sense now. The DC crowd is quite...well, I won't say. Looking at "the bad" list, the third point is so interesting. I often wonder, on what grounds is it that people assert that some visitors to the Sky Club bring down the exclusivity of the room? I have come to learn that you can't truly predict someone's salary, pedigree, educational credentials, credit score, values, moral superiority, delta spend, or worthiness of being alive based on the way that they look in the Sky Club. But, then again, the DC thing may come into play. I'm quite the anomaly here. Although I live in the District, I don't make it a habit of asking people in the sky club, nor those seated next to me on the plane, what they do and where they went to school (and without the simple courtesy of first asking their name or how their day is going). I simply say hello to people, even if they are unattractive (another abnormal habit of mine). |

The other points regarding SWUs and miles are valid. |

This doesn't happen. I have flown paid J, I have flown NRSA. When NRSA, meal order was taken....on a few flights with tight entrees, I as asked for a backup each time. Paying customer always gets meal before NRSA. |
What I like.
1. Above average operational efficiency domestically. 2. Good domestic UG % Here's what I don't like. 1. Still many international routes with no flat-bed seats. 2. Very average flat-bed seat despite being years behind the competition in putting these in. 3. No international F 4. No international F lounges 5. Terrible award redemption. 6. No international upgrades on reasonably priced fares. 7. SkyWars is a terrible alliance. 8. No international F awards on alliance partners. 9. Poor MM program. 10. Dishonest. |

I eventually got the FA's attention and pointed out that she overlooked her, and was told that she would get whatever is left over. After some conversation with the girl, she told me that her mother was a pilot, and she was flying non-rev. |
Whenever I've gotten an OpUp I always provide a 2nd choice and say I'd take that if they run short of my first choice. It seems to be much appreciated by the FAs.
