Delta: same service E+ in non-EC?

I found out that the EC on an upcoming long Delta flight is fully booked. However, as a E+ I assume I still get the same services (free glass of wine, movies) in non-EC or am I expecting too much?

(I wanted to add Delta to the title but was unable to do so).

What's the route? DL gives free wine and beer in coach on some routes. EC people also get free hard alcohol on some international routes. AFAIK movies are charged the same in EC as in coach, but I think there was a thread on this recently in the DL forum. I'm not aware of DL granting special privileges on board to elites in coach seats, and certainly not partner elites, although partner elites do get zone 1 boarding, some special lines for check in and security depending on the airport. DL elites get Have One On Us coupons for a free alcoholic beverage during OLCI but IIRC partner elites are not given this privilege. YMMV.

I flew AMS-BOM last week, wine was free in EC, 7 dollars in coach (if I heard correctly). As an E+ with FB, I am entitled to sit in EC for free. I can do without the wine, but it sounds odd that because of one of the benefits cannot be given to me (free EC seat), I have to pay for the other free benefits that goes with the first one (free movies and free drinks). The flight I am taking is ATL-FCO. Anyway, hope a EC seat will free up before I depart.

As I am sure the Delta forum can provide an answer to this question, I will move this thread to the Delta forum with a link remaining in the FB forum.

There are no elite benefits on-board; they are all tied to the seat you are in. This makes sense from a logistical perspective; the FAs would have to check the manifest for each passenger when they order a drink otherwise.

So no, just like an upgrade to F in the US o Delta, elites are entitled to the upgrade when available, but if you can't get the seat you don't get the service.

On TATL and TPAC flights, beer and wine are free for EC and regular Y. Spirits are free for EC and $7 for regular Y.

Or do like AA manages to do with EXPs in coach. You can show your card or your BP, or the FA can just punch your seat number into the handheld she uses to swipe CCs and it will say you are eligible for free food/drink.

It's amazing what an airline can do if they don't devote every nickel of their technology budget to upselling their customers and pitching credit card offers.

I did not look from that perspective - yes that makes sense. Thanks!
