SB? SkyBulkhead?

Typical Delta shtick with this zone business, SM remains a joke.

I have though found the best-kept-not-so-secret way to maintain super-priority boarding. Keep on having babies. We've had a child 3 or under for the last 10 years and just walk right on, before SkyPriority, first-class, and even god himself. Nothing more satisfying that elbowing right past those snotty GM and above gate lice and seeing their angry looks. Of course the private school tuition will one day do me in, but thats another story.

Until you fly to/from Orlando. Muhahahahahahahha. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!! *cough*

I think I'll stick with boarding with SKY if I don't get upgraded instead of having a child with me and getting to board a little early:)

Seeing I like to sit in an exit row if I am not upgraded, having a child with me would make that impossible since kids can't sit in an exit row. I also like to be able to sleep on some flights which wouldn't be possible with a small child.

True. That is a flight full of kids. One nice thing though is that due to all the people flying with families, usually means an easier upgrade unless the fmaily decides to buy first class seats for the entire gang to see Micky.

Did zone SKY disappear recently? My BP didn't have a zone next to it yesterday. I'm usually upgraded on one segment (causing all to read PREM), so I may not have noticed previously.

Also, the last couple of flights I've been on have been boarded:

1.) Pre-Boards
2.) First Class
3.) Zone 1

... Not sure who is in Zone 1. But I remember the week before that the 3rd group called was Sky Priority and anyone with a Delta Amex card.

My (IPHONE) boarding pass didnt have a zone on it either (just had the word zone), but I printed a BP at my hotel for the HOOU (not sure why because it was a short flight and the FAdidn't do a service) and it did have sky on that. However when the agent called zones yesterday he boarded people needing extra assistance and then boarded zone 1 skipping sky. I think more people boarded than didn't in our zone but it was a MDW/DTW flight and probably had a lot of FO's and am ex card holders as well. At least at was just a CJ and I didn't need to worry about bin space.

I do wish they would standardize this darn thing and get some accountability going (ie, telling PX, "Sorry, this is not your zone."). I mean, the machine beeps when an exit row BP is scanned.

On my FLL-ATL flight this morning, the GA announces pre-boards, then announces, "we now welcome all FC passengers to board... all premiums" in the same sentence.

I am in line for FC and the person behind me is sitting in 27C?!

Don't even mention the gate lice.

At FSD this afternoon, the GA announced preboards and then announced that they were boarding the first 4 rows. I at first thought there might have been an equipment change. Nope, 4 rows of FC on a CR9. I found it awfully odd she wouldn't just say first class passengers.

Try boarding the NRT>MNL flight in NRT. It is crazy, well over 2 hours before the flight passengers are lining up. Its a mad house! No one bothers to read the Boarding Zone X signs the GA's go around and hold up, its basically a mad dash to the front of the line.

Anymore I think there is no need for zones 3 and 4. Is there any body actually left to board after they call zone 1??

Just checked my printed boarding pass and it's SKY zone for my coach seat.

My iPhone boarding pass lacks any indicator under the word Zone.
(although my next flight's iPhone BP indicates PREM as it should)

Sounds a lot like boarding an AF A380 in CDG...
