1A on the CRJ-700

What is seat 1A like on the reconfigured CRJ-700's? Is it as good as 1A on the CRJ-900? SeatGuru and SeatExpert still don't have the updated seat maps.

It's better than 15b....

1A on CR7 is more like the MD88 vs the spacious 1A on a CR9 or E75.

I'd pass on the CR7 seat 1A if given an option. My personal favorite on CR7 is 2A.

Thanks. This is good to know as otherwise I would have chosen 1A because I love that seat on the CRJ-900s.

We were on a 700 this past Sunday (1C & D) but if I'd be alone I would have no problems in 1A. Yes, there is not as much space as on the 900, but there is certainly more than any seat on a Mad-Dog.

1A all the way!!

I would def still chose 1A on the CR700... not quite as big as the CR900 as stated, but still very nice and comfy :)

Sorry to drag this thread up, but I'm trying to decide between 2A and 3A. Which has the better window views?

Thanks!

Sat in 2A today. Same view as 3A just a foot or 2 ahead.
Would never sit in 1A. Any seat in coach would be better.

Neither. Both are misaligned so the window is a decent stretch ahead of you which for a skinny guy like me is a pain in the butt and for a fat guy or gal is not possible. Still pick 2A as my choice seat though as can't do without my seat pocket for book/WSJ/ipad

Thanks. Is there much of a difference in how far you have to lean?

Also, what do you mean about the pocket? Wouldn't 3A have a pocket on the back of 2A to use?

Yes - just meant in reference to the OP which was about 1A. I never go for 1A.

2A and 3A seem equidistant in terms of leaning to the window.

I know this is an old thread, but any thoughts on 1A vs. 1C vs. 2C for a solo traveler? I've read conflicting reports about the amount of legroom in 1A relative to other seats...

1A is both window and aisle. Far superior to anything on the other side.

I usually try to get 1A on CRJ-700s and 900s.

The bulkhead is a bit closer than I wish it was, but it is very easy to encroach on the aisle space.

I really prefer being in a situation where there is no one to recline into my "personal space." Even in FC, an extreme recliner can put you in the position of being able to count hair follicles.

My only complaint... on some commuter carriers, there is no place to put the PDB without pulling out the tray table.

I'm 6'5" and I love 1A on the CRJ 700 and 900. I don't mind Bulkheads and they can't recline into me...

Although when did the reconfigs happen? I haven't flown one in a couple of months.
