Has anyone used their BB for GoGo and then connect it to their laptop and used the blackberry desktop manager and used the internet sharing or whatever button that is on the desktop manager to get it working on their laptop and BB at the same time?

But I had a similar experience where a FA made me stop using my Bluetooth mouse. She was definitely one of the by-the-book type FAs.

Of course the big difference between GoGoInflight wireless transmissions and other wireless transmissions is that one makes money for the airlines and the others don't.

Does anyone happen to know if there's any software available for Windows 7 users that allows you to turn your laptop into a wi-fi hotspot or router? :D :D :D

If you were to purchase the 30 day unlimited gogo internet, which currently sells for $29.99, can you give your spouse your gogo user name and password so that she can use it on her computer when she flies?

I have monthly GoGo and I regularly use both my laptop and iPhone on the same flight. I'm not sure if I've used the simultaneously, however.

Strictly, it appears as though you're not supposed to share your login. In reality, my wife uses my login when we're not on the same flight.

The terms also have a section regarding sharing/redistribution of your network connection, which is clearly not permitted.

IME if you login and activate a pass from one device, then login to the same account from a second device, it recognizes you already activated a pass and re-uses the same pass on the second device while disconnecting the first one.

This doesn't help you use up your passes, but if you wanted to share a single wifi pass you could get a travel router. I travel with a TP-LINK WR902AC. Although using it in this manner to share a Gogo connection probably violates the T&C. (Not saying anything will happen as a result of it or that they'll even notice, but...)

My wife and I share the account while on the same flight. You just can't have BOTH devices connected at the same time. This goes for when I am flying solo also with my phone and my laptop connected. What happens is you connect the first device fine, then when you connect the second device, it auto-disconnects the first device. You basically have to keep flipping back and forth as you use both devices. You have to re-logo on each time you go back to the other device, but it's almost never the full login process, usually just that random 5-digit code they make you type in. Kind of a pain, but still cheaper than paying the extra for the 2-device setup tier. They do offer one by the way...

I had success, one time, chatting with gogo and having them take a pass out of my account and provide me with a code that my wife could use on her device/ gogo account, so we were both able to be connected at the same time.

I wouldn't try to get 5 different codes for 5 different devices on the same flight, but for a once in a while thing, that may be your best option.

I had success recently by using a Netgear Trek N300 travel router with Gogo on a DL AUS-LAX flight. I plugged it into a USB portable power bank, connected my laptop to it and had it connect to the Gogo hotspot. Logged in, redeemed a biz plat pass and I was then able to connect both my phone and my wife's phone to the travel router.

This also came in handy when our hotel in Vegas limited our WiFi connection to two devices per room.

They also track MAC id's, and more than 4 devices used on a pass within X period of time will cause the lock down of the account. You'll need to contact support to clear it.
But... Paying for one connection and then using a travel router or other means to pull additional bandwidth - that's simply a crappy way to screw over your fellow passengers.
I'm all for maximizing benefits but not when it screws others.
