Duh, that would make sense. We were always told that they were "destination bags". I'd certainly hope that every bag has a destination.

I have always wondered (and maybe once my miles post and I become PM I can try to force the issue) why PMs/PEs as SkyTeam Elite+ do not get Priority Baggage on ALL flights.... Anyone have a fully truthful answer?

Skyteam Website says that Elite Plus get priority baggage handling, while DL.com says Priority baggage benefit will be offered only on international flights six hours or more in duration.

My guess: Most other SkyTeam airlines are mainly International carriers that fly more International routes than domestic.

Actually I found another page on DL.com where it makes no reference to requiring the international flight over 6 hours..... I will have to see where this goes (if and when my missing segments post).

My bags have always been tagged with the priority tags when flying domestic or international at SLC, JFK, SDQ, and ATL. When I arrive at JFK or ATL from SDQ, or vice versa, my bag is always one of the first ones. When I arrive at SLC from JFK or ATL, usually one of the very last ones. Last month I got the "HOT" tag at SLC but I didn't even notice it. I had a 52 minutes connection in JFK so that's probably why I got the HOT tag.
