what IS working?

Day 1 of the new Dulta. Flights originally booked at DL.com. As of today, schedule changed. Bulkhead seats lost. Can't access reservations at DL.com. Call to NW Elite line bumped to generic DL line. Receive recorded message "the office is now closed."

Gee, great start!:td:

When do we get the SMS line?

Well, my Northwest miles all transfered over to my linked and new SkyMiles account, the EQM total between the two has been combined, that is the good.

The bad, do I use my Northwest number for reservations or my Delta number. The reason I ask is because on nwa.com, Northwest recognizes both as Gold Medallion either the 9 digit NW or 10 digit Delta, however, delta.com recognizes me as a gold medallion on the home page when I log in, however, it only recognizes my NW number as an elite number when I put it in a reservation, it does not recognize me as elite when I put my Delta number in a reservation. That means to me if I use my Delta number, I will not have elite acess to seats and will not clear for upgrades.

Is this the case where I need to call Delta, and have them clear out the all FF numbers and start over? If it matters, all my current reservations are all 012 ticket stock and are all booked with the carriers actual flight numbers. For example on a DTW-SMF ticket, I am DTW-ATL-SMF (all delta flight numbers) and SMF-MSP-DTW (all NW flight numbers for the return).

Hmm, not sure if it is related to the integration, but I too lost my exit row seat on a flight today.

Try logging into Delta.com with your old WorldPerks, now-referred-to-as SkyMiles number and PIN. Great work on the technology, Delta ^

It could also be a record for receiving email from Delta. I had the email show up within 5 seconds.

Note: this is just for fun. I didn't actually expect any info to appear on delta.com.

I had no problem logging into delta.com with my newly assigned DL#.

Just curious, whether anyone knows how the integration with the World Club memberships works. I had the impression that Skyclubs membership shows up on the boarding passes of Skymiles members--although not sure if it is true. I have a lifetime WC card that I have not used for years-- between the AMEX card access and the Elite Plus lounge access overseas. I suspect having a DL Reserve card will become d'rigeour as well for those wanting to cement upgrade priority. Then with Diamond Medallion status next year, I suppose my lifetime membership and AMEX benefits are of little value in the shortrun with all the lounge access opportunities.

Will DL be sending out new Sky Club cards? Will the membership start showing up on our boarding passes so we really don't need to take the card with us?

Amazingly enough, when I logged into my skymiles account my miles are there, but not the stats of how i got them. Everything else is zeroed out besides my miles available. But somehow my qualifying segments ytd is -1. I guess the flux capcitator is working.

Everything is working for me, except I didn't get my upgrade notification for Sunday, but I did get my upgrade. The rest of my NW miles moved over to DL today without a hitch. All my reservations look fine on delta.com. My mileage balance is correct.

UG's are working. Already been UG'd for my flight on NW-operated for next Thursday :)

Three things!

(1) All is well with my account on dl.com!!

(2) I moved miles from Amex to DL this afternoon, and it worked like a charm!!

(3) I booked TWO roundtrips ATL-ANC in First Class for Mrs. AirGorilla and me for next August -- total costs were 90,000 miles, plus $10 in fees!!

From my perspective, it's working just fine!!

Happy flights,

AG

delta.com has been enhanced !!

Now you also have to enter your name to log in; mileage takes longer to credit; various bonuses have verbose, yet still meaningless, names; no record of which segments were upgraded on your statement as well, since only original booking class is reported.

the history on nwa is accurate in terms of fare paid and cabin flown... I am sure dl will get there as well (again) but there are more things on their plate :)

as for the bonus descriptions - i am sure this is temporary. they needed to have "some data" to put in there for the miles. once they clean up their bonus master file we'll have that information back...

it seems that there is a larger capacity for description text, so maybe the promos will actually become less criptical than "9p prem" "dbl fly mi," or "9m hltn bns" :D
it will take some time to update them though

i am not a fan of the "day after" mileage credit, but i guess it comes with the territory...
