Any updates from folks who are using this card?

The Prioity Pass and Companion certs sound good, but how do the points work?

Punki Apr 2, 2008 6:17 pm

We got our cards today and are learning about the benefits.

Does anyone else have any additional information?

I had a card and then cancelled due to lack of service and other issues. The point system is not very good nor is the earning at par with other cards out there.

If you like a point sytem, suggest try the Thank You Network instead.

We've used the Accolades card quite often since we received in 07. We always use the Priority Pass and from time to time the Concierge service. The companion certs are no different than most different companion certs in that one has to fly a certain fare bucket. When you make charges you earn "World Points" which you redeem for either Basic Air Rewards or Flex Air Rewards. Unfortunately you have to redeem all awards through their redemption center which of course does not have rewards for all schedules or routes. I carry it with my Mileage Plus Visa and don't use it unless the vendor won't accept VISA. BofA pays for it so I guess I'll keep it around.

My PB is trying to get my wife and I to sign up for one of these cards. I was going to do the Centurion Card, but really don't want to pay the fee... This one is free (supposedly) for us... Currently we just use a standard Capital One card for all of our purchases...

But our PB says the Accolades card is really good with rewards and flights... She and I own a buisness and fly a handfull of times a year...

Any thoughts... It is free... is there anything good about this card.

Welcome to Flyertalk !!!

Have you read this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=702751

Flyertalk has also an amazing feature, you can use a search tab to do a comprehensive look up of topics already discussed.

In short, I think Centurion benefits are much superior to BofA Accolades card. Here is thread that lists its benefits: http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=361021

No. I just wanted to show Gweedoe that info is available in the same thread he is posting.

Did Priority Pass raise the guest fee from $24 to $27? I have seen some old material at $24 and some new material at $27.

I also read that the US Airways Club in Charlotte, NC has negotiated to allow Accolades cardmember access even though it is not part of Priority Pass. This is not one of the ones being closed is it?

Yes. Priority Pass is operated by a British firm. This was probably an exchange rate adjustment.

Interesting. Where did you read this? I'm an Accolades card holder, and I'd like to know how to find out about such benefits. Thanks.

I know someone who works at BAC. This person found some info and showed it to me. I don't think there are other 'benefits' extrapolated from this, but wonder if the club in Charlotte has a sign up that says this is possible. I will note that BAC HQ is in Charlotte, so maybe it is more of an inside thing that is communicated amongst the locals there--especially those who hold the card and work in HQ?

I have a question. Nowhere in the Accolades material or card envelope does it show a listing of Priority-Pass participating lounges. So I went to the website, and from what I can tell you must enter the 10-digit Priority Pass card # in order to enter the website and see the participating lounges.

So as an Accolades card holder, how can I know which lounges I have access to?

mia Jun 22, 2008 7:13 pm

The Accolades credit card itself does not provide access to lounges. You need to use the Priority Pass membership card which Bank of America provides to Accolades account holders.
