Best Points Earning Credit Card for Everyday Purchases???
I have a number of credit cards that I use for both personal & business purposes. I always use certain cards in order to maximize the points (i.e. Chase Ink for my Staples purchases, Chase Reserve for Travel & Food, and Chase Freedom for Gas in 1Q19). What card would you recommend for all other purchases like Company Software ($35K), Professional Membership Dues ($10K), Trade Show Exhibiting Fees ($10K), etc. I an currently using the Capital One Venture Card (2x) for these purchases. Am I missing a better points multiplier?

For example, the Amex Blue Business Plus (BBP for short) has no annual fee, earns 2 Membership Rewards points per dollar (up to some annual cap I think), and you may be able to get (much?) more than 1c per Membership Rewards point depending on how you use them. |
What credit card should I get next?
i currently have about 345k United, 345k American, 120k ba miles. Looking to go from lax to icn and nrt in a few months. I’ve met limit for 5/24 for chase. With all of the devaluation happening I would stick with transferable bank points. I would go for Citi ThankYou points next. Alaska miles are also very valuable but more difficult to earn.
Amex Gold - 50k offer Citi Premier Alaska Airlines Visa Signature - 40k offer Amex Plat - there are several different flavors that are considered separate product for one per lifetime signup bonus |

too bad I had Amex gold before. Only have Amex biz platinum left but the spending reauiremt for 100k was too high The Citi AA CC's are also worth looking at. Might not be the most valuable mileage currency but you already have a large stash of AA miles, the are lot of CC options to get them and there are still some high value partner awards available. Citi AA personal/biz Plat - Can use mailers after you go over the 2/24 rule. Amex Blue Business Plus - best card for non category spent but no big signup bonus. Good long term keeper card. |

Any ideas on where I should go next? I would love to make it to NRT sometime this year by way of Hawaii, out of LAX.

Which Card Would be most benefical in this Situation?
Hi everyone, i an trying to decide which next credit card to get? Current Cards: ink cash, freedom, sapphire Preferred, amex simply cash, wf cashwise, aarp by chase. I am a AU on a target card last year and under 5/24. I currently have 110k points on my Csp. Credit score: Hovers around 796-810 Minimum spend in 90 Days: up to $3000 (would like to get the Amex Platinum, but at a $400+ af and no way to downgrade to a non af and having to close the account would put a ding on my credit). Goals: Would like a no af, or card i can downgrade like the csp/csr. Want to get the biggest signup bonus and overall a great card. I plan on traveling to tokyo (and if possible DR or Cuba) this year or next. Wondering if i should target cash back or travel? Not sure which airline i would use to get to Tokyo? Cards I’ve considered: Capital Venture or Savor then degrade after a year, or chase business unlimited for the $500 UR points. Im open for suggestions. Also wondering if i could product change the Csp to a Csr? I just paid the AF for the CSP, would that result in me owing a $300+ af to get the CSR? |
Information Overload.. Help me find the right card (AA Flyer)
Long time lurker needing help..
I need a card for business use, corporate airfare, hotel, transportation, and food booked solely through card (~$40K a year). I am an existing American Exec Plat and Marriott Gold Elite, no concern in maintaining status in the future. Indifferent about card cost. Married to AA, but not Marriott. Needs: Desire Lounge Access at CLT, DFW, DCA, IAD (would be a plus) - CLT the most important as of recent Needs to include rental car insurance No foreign transactions fees Cards so far interested in: AA Citi Exec World Elite U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite Amex Platinum (I despise AMEX) City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite Costco Anywhere Visa.. hey 3% back on all travel and dining.. Goal: Lounge Access End of year paid vacation with points.. Ideally using airline miles to buy business class tickets for international trip, but open to other ideas. |

Needs to include rental car insurance No foreign transactions fees .... Do you mean primary CDW or is secondary coverage sufficient? |

If you specifically want Admirals Club access there is only one possibility. Citi Executive is the only card that provides AA lounge access. There is no Admirals Club at IAD, but any card that includes Priority Pass will provide some access - which concourse do you fly from?
Do you mean primary CDW or is secondary coverage sufficient? DCA Terminal B, i wasn't impressed by Uniteds lounge there yesterday at all, and i had to go through a different security checkpoint just to get to it, I've never been in a centurion and i know that American lounges vary from city to city. I'm most likely to get delayed in a connecting city... which since i fly American is CLT, DFW, ORD, others then would include MIA, MCO, TPA, JFK. I will do a fair bit of international travel as well, major cities, but undetermined at this point. Europe/Asia/Australia probably very little LATAM, and almost no Middle East / Africa. I'm also considering getting two separate cards to maximize points, probably one for airfare the other for hotel and dining. I recently looked up the 14x hilton honors amex... thats a heck of a lot of points... my dilema is.. marriott seems to have better locations... im not a traveler willing to jump through extra hoops to stay brand loyal (outside of airlines). So generally, whatever hotel is closest to where i need to be, or is over and atop nicer i will stay at. I can buy an admirals club membership for 55K miles... seems like a steal.. what would be the best way to get miles then? are there any good transfer partners with american? |
There is no Centurion Lounge at IAD. Priority Pass is in the business of monetizing surplus lounge capacity. Most of their USA domestic lounges are independent lounges which provide service for foreign airlines which have only one or two flights per day at an airport. These lounges may not be available to Priority Pass members at peak periods.
You can see the Priority Pass IAD lounges here: https://www.prioritypass.com/en/loun...dc-dulles-intl There are two in Concourse B. Note the time restriction at the BA lounge. The main value of primary CDW coverage is that if you damage a rental car you will not need to file a claim with your personal insurance. A card with secondary CDW should cover the deductible from your personal policy. |
