Best Card For Costco

I never really gave it thought as to which card is best.

Costco only takes Amex in store and for gas.

I currently am using the SPG card at 1 point per dollar.........when Costco first opened here ( May 2013) I was actually using the Hilton Amex until I realized what I was doing as it's also 1 point per $1.

Is there a better card AMEX card than SPG for Costco in store ?

Thanks

For gas I use the Costco True Earnings Biz AMEX @ 4% CB. I've been using SPG in store since 1 point> 1% CB. But can be swayed, especially since I don't charge a ton on my SPG and has no annual benefit (just an annual fee)

I plan on switching back and forth every 10 months or so between the personal SPG and the Business SPG giving at least 12 months between applications for like cards.

My wife will get a SPG card(s) to fill in the gaps.

No annual fees and hopefully at least a 10k bonus ~ each year.

Does the True earnings card have an annual fee ?

Thanks

Don't forget, you can buy Costco Cash cards online with visa/mc.

Fidelity Rewards Amex, No Annual Fee and 2% back at Costco, if credited to your Fidelity Account. Also good for 2% back anywhere else Amex is accepted.

I do that to hit spends as I don't MS. Currently sitting on about $2k worth of gift cards but it's a bit of a pain to keep track of my spending that way

Thanks

Fidelity Amex, hands down.

I'm not sure if that works for me, I have my 401K with Fidelity but I think it has to be a regular investment account or some form of IRA.

I have my Roth and investment account with TD Ameritrade

Also unless I have it wrong $2500 in spend = $50

I can definitely get more value out of 10K starwood points than $200

Thanks

No Annual Fee for the Costco True Earnings Card.

Interesting strategy switching between personal and biz SPG...

Just to be clear, you don't actually even need a Fidelity account to earn 2% cash back with the Fidelity AmEx. Once you've accumulated 25,000 points (i.e. every $12,500 in spend), you can get a check for $250.

However, if your uses for Starpoints (net of the annual fee for the SPG card) consistently net you more than 2 cents per Starpoint, then the SPG card is better for you.

I'll be glad to help you out with them. :)

Why not load VR's purchased from a high category bonus store onto an amex prepaid card or Amex gift cards purchased via a portal with a high bonus? I have had no issues using my amex prepaid card.

I have consistently been able to get between 3-4% value per SPG point so I use my SPG Amex at Costco (and everywhere except out of the country, at gas stations (bofa 4.5%), office supply, cable, cell phone (Ink 5%) and quarterly Freedom 5% categories) and places that don't take AMEX.
