I opted out a few years ago and never get any credit card offers. I'm wondering if I should opt in. It would be a ton of mail I don't want and will probably only select 5% of the offers I get such as the targetted Chase Saphire Preferred offer some folks are getting for 100k points for $750 in spend

My question is - are there many companies doing targetted offers out there and who strictly match a person with the offer or are there still very few? How many of you have opted in vs out?

When use use optoutprescreen.com, you're just opting out of banks checking your credit history without your permission to preapprove you for a credit card.

I opted out several years ago and still get targeted credit card offers, mostly from companies I already do business with. Only after I reply do I give the bank the permission to check my credit and approve or decline my application based on that.

I only have a relationship with Citibank and Amex but don't have any with Chase or the other ones. Do you know how fast the website acts to opt in and opt out? I could opt in now and opt out another 6 months as long as it doesn't take months for it to take effect
