Looking to Switch
I currently have the Citi Mastercard and AMEX and tired of all the American Airlines high price, blackout dates, etc etc.
Can anyone give recommendations CC that will help earn miles on any carrier.... |
starwood preferred amex
transfers to many airlines and for many of them 20k points => 25k miles. but here i am assuming you want miles. what do you want the card to do? |
Thanks for the reply
just miles for any carrier |
then i would say either the starwood amex or some species membership rewards amex.
they have different airline lists. I think chase also has one that can push to either BA or Continental (for now). if you don't have a particular airline in mind, then the penfed travel rewards card might be a good idea. |

do you mean a program which will buy you a ticket on any airline? .

There are several programs which generate points that can be used to buy airfare. The amount of spending required to earn a flight will depend on the price of the ticket at the time you redeem. Similar programs award cash which you could, of course, use to purchase a ticket.
Here are some threads which discuss points (or cash back) programs that you may wish to consider: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...-prestige.html http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...pital-one.html http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...e-rewards.html http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...lity-amex.html http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...astercard.html Note that the Travelocity Mastercard mentioned at the outset of this thread has been replaced by a Travelocity American Express, and the rewards program offered to new applicants is not as lucrative as the original version. |

Thanks everyone for the reply.
I will review all the suggestions..... I leaning towards the Delta AMEX even thou I mention about a card that I can redeem on any carrier..... Any thoughts on the Delta AMEX? |
