Connecting in PTY
I already booked the lfights so I'm going forward but I've been thinking about the itinerary. It's a mult leg flight starting off in LAX connecting in PTY to MDE. Booked in J. The connecting time in PTY is 32 Minutes. This will be the first time in PTY and flying CM. If I or the bags miss, there are later flights. I've got a few days of relaxation before I begin the real trip. Is this a normal connecting time that CM handles reguarly?

I connected on a late flight inbound to PTY connecting to MGA in 15 minutes - gate arrival to next aircraft entry door - and my bag arrived. And they didn't leave without me.
There's no security or immigration (other than going back from PTY to USA/Canada, at the gate), and the walk hopefully is not that long. Arriving at T1 and going to T2 or vice versa would be more of a jog.
PTY has I to I connect times from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. The shortest connection I can see LAX to MDE is 48 minutes. Since they are renowned for on time, due to padding their flight times and since their flights LAX PTY are at least 84% on time and two are 98% on time, you should be fine. They sold the ticket and they are not leaving known inbound J passengers in Panama for the same of 15 or 20 minutes.
