Does CO offer noise canceling headset in BF?

I haven't been in BF on CO flights and was just wondering if noise canceling headset is part of standard amenity or whether I need bring my own NC headset in the carryon bag.

I have flown with AA on transpacific flights and they do provide noise canceling headset (they have Bose) to business class passengers.

No they are not NC, they are not even very good, I bring my own. However the service is good for a Us based airline in BF. (for a business class product)

Thanks Steph3n. I'll bring my own NC headset in carry-on bag then, since noise reduction is very important to me for long haul flights. I care for a comfy seat more than the food/beverage or service -- I'm okay with CO service even in Y :-)

the new earbuds are junk!

nearly every one of the adapters that comes with the new earbuds falls apart before I can even plug it in!

Do yourself a favor and buy your own noise canceling headset.

Those are not used in BF. ;)

Still worth repeating the second part of bajrbajr's post that you didn't quote -- Do yourself a favor and buy your own noise canceling headset. ;)

Okay, thanks for the re-enforcement. Just to clarify, I usually carry my own NC headset even for domestic Y; I posted the original question to avoid duplicated effort if CO already has good NC headset in BF.

But then, some audiophile flying AA might not even like the Bose, which was good enough for me at least for NC purposes :D

i don't wear headphones after they have contacted someone elses head/ears/hair, unless I am the one that bleached them, and I don't see that happening on the planes :D

Even if they had a good NC headset there could be several reasons to still bring your own. Not trusting sanitization is one. Also, on AA they don't give them out until well after take-off, and they collect them well before landing.

I'm hardly an audiophile, but I think the Bose are overrated. They're not even all that comfortable; you can't turn your head sideways with them on. I much prefer the Sure in-ear noise isolating headphones. Much better job at blocking out the cabin noise, plus they're a fraction the size of the Bose. I always chuckle when some self-important business type next to me pulls them out of his carry-on, while I slip my Sures on from my pocket.

Yes.. but the seats? Not sure they are much less offensive than anything else on the plane.

yes you got me there!! :D

At least they can spray disinfectant on them, the BF headsets (as cheap as they are) they protect like gold in plastic bags, where disinfectant won't be getting to unless sprayed directly.

:p;) Just wanted to give you a hard time. One day I will invest in a good headset. But for now, I guess it is loud engines, drunk pax and screaming babies for me. :D

Perhaps one day I will make it back on AA.. but I don't see that happening soon due to the employment situation.

+1 I'm definitely co-signing this one (although it's "Shure"). They are pretty expensive I've found, at least the really good ones, but the sound they produce is absolutely outstanding.

They are not noise "canceling" - it's just that no noise gets in because they fit snug. I've had noise canceling headphones before and they were nothing compared to the Shure's.

AC has sennheiser noise canceling headphones for their business product. They hand out wetnaps and new foam ear covers for each flight. I enjoyed them.

I do carry my Shures for each flight, and believe they get better sound quality and noise blocking. But, I find that over the ear headphones, if fitted properly (unlike CO's crappy earbuds), are more comfortable than in-ear devices, especially for long flights.
