When is your flight? Always good to look a few days ahead of time, as CO starts to process any waitlisted BF upgrades.

Flight is tomorrow, I am connecting from another airport to EWR, does this give me an advantage to check in 24 hours before the first flight?

And does the fact that the second flight is overseas play on a role in OLCI?

Hmm, at the 24 hour mark of my first flight I started OLCI, it would not let me pick any seats and I called the help line and they were able to choose my seats for me but could not explain why my checkin did not allow changing seats. The exit row of my overseas flight they said is not available until 24 hours before that flight.
