Question Premium Seats

Is there a way to get premium seats without being an elite member? (New here, so sorry if this is an age-old question:

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

No, unless you are an Elite you cannot select these seats until <24 hours prior to departure. BTW, the only thing premium about them is being closer to the exit and possibly having power ports.

ANd maybe also a higher likelihood that the middle seat next to you will be vacant

The ones in the back of the plane as the one's up front tend to fill up first on heavily booked flights.

And to the OP...Welcome To Flyertalk, politicosr!

(Has anyone ever commented "Welcome To Flyertalk" would be abbreviated double-u tee eff?)

Never thought of that, but then again, I only think on Wednesday Thursday Friday.

        long haul in middle

Sorry to ask again but I have an 11 hour flight coming up to TLV and am no longer elite, stuck in a middle seat, the aisles avaiable are premium. Is there any point to contact CO or any way to somehow 'upgrade' or pay for an aisle?

The Premium seats become available to all at OLCI.

Check in at T-23:59 and take the best seat you can get.

The exit row seats on the 777-200 also become available at 24 hours?

Also, kind of strange, I was able to finally get an aisle in the last row 44, but now closer to the flight there is another row 45 showing behind me. Seat guru doesnt even show this row so I cant see if it reclines, any ideas?

Yes, all seats (that haven't already been filled by others) are available. CO is unlike NW or other airlines in charging for seating in exit rows or bulkheads.

When is your flight? Always good to look a few days ahead of time, as CO starts to process any waitlisted BF upgrades.
