Wow, flt 28 arrived at LHR 4hr and 35 mins. late. I was tracking it yesterday evening and it was listed as a mechanical. The 10:00pm flt arr. 2 hrs late.
If its a mechanical and its over 4 hours late do the pax get compensation? Is that only if the flt is xld? I've been there when my flights are so late that the later flights leave before them. That is frustrating. |

Count me in on the 'South of EWR' crowd TOO !:D
PS-- just watched the 'extended' forecast for the NYC area.....while it is expected to be warm and sunny over this weekend, the RAINS return each and every day starting Monday--- including next Friday. So any of you travelling next weekend, you just might have a delay or two ;) |

It was nasty out there tonight. It's still lightening with a strobe effect.
I'm about 25 miles south of EWR.

And they're quite nicer than the Northern environs :) I second that :D

Central NJ here. This gray area hurts the divide between north and south. Speaking of gray these past four days have been the first sun New Jersey has seen in several weeks.

08840 is a great town, with a very quaint downtown.

This storm system seems to have been huge. It was in Chicago on Thursday morning, big storms in Detroit Thursday evening (power outages and NW was still messy the next morning), upstate NY Friday morning, EWR and PHL late Friday (I know someone flying to EWR from Europe who had to land in Boston), and the very same front seriously messed up Atlanta on Saturday. I wonder if it was one of the most disruptive fronts ever.

Caught up in it!
Thankfully it's over! I was over 4 hours late MCI-EWR. Started taxiing to the runway, when the ground-stop went into effect. Good job I didn't take the $200 bump to a later flight, because they canceled that one!
Meeting my parents, who were flying from MSP at EWR- they were over 5 hours late. And that was after they got moved to an earlier flight, otherwise, well it's Sunday now, and I think I could still be waiting in terminal A for them! ;-) |
