Elite Access Question

I lost my status this year due to obvious lack of flying. I just booked a domestic trip in which I am flying coach on my out and bf on the return. It has been so long that I can't remember if you get EA for the entire itin or just the bf leg. Can anyone help me out with this? Will I have EA on the coach leg?

Doubt it.

... does it really matter?

Get the Presidential Plus Master Card and you will.

At EWR on a Saturday morning it certainly could...Otherwise no, I could care less. It was just something I was wondering as I have not not been Elite in several years.

They don't enforce the EA for security in EWR.

Check-in online and do a bag drop (if you're checking a bag). It'll be faster than any EA service at EWR at any time of day.

That's news to me...Two weeks ago they seemed to be enforcing it. Anyway, that's not my question. Thanks for your help though.

Occasionally they give the illusion of enforcing it.

Meh. Everyone's elite in Newark.

Many Elites feel they must walk on as many blue carpets on each flight as possible I suppose. I've seen an EA security line snaking up the stairs to the Intl check-in level and only three people in the regular line. The people in the long line just didn't want to use the regular shorter line even though they were told they can use it.

Yes. And the right line is always the fastest lane on the Turnpike.

But let's not let these little secrets out.

You'll only have EA on the coach leg if you are booked in a Y fare.

For someone who drives about 100 miles on the turnpike to/from work everyday I got a kick out of that one

+1. And, the Elite line shares screening with crew/ground staff, who (arguably understandably) need to 'barge in', slowing things further; although they do (usually) at least know what to put in the bins :D
