Is there a way to freeze them in the PC (I suppose if I had a really long layover)? Or am I stuck eating my fill and then taking a few (or more) for the home freezer?

I suppose you could stick them into a glass of ice water. Now that they use the sundae glasses instead of the first class glasses in the clubs there should be room :rolleyes:

In the interest of science, I sacrificed two packets to obtain the following data:

~36 minutes at 30F in work freezer to get completely solid
~51 minutes on desk at 76F to get to point where there is mess and leftover product when removed.

Next experiment: keeping product "no mess" frozen/cold for >2 hours with a 3oz ice cube so I can make it from home freezer to plane.

Edits: Didn't take into account heat transfer from handling (i.e. sweaty palms) and nearby coworkers coming to see what's going on.

I carry 2 double epi pens. Never had an issue - except in HKG.

I rarely travel with my Epi pen (only for bee stings), but one time I did and was going through HKG it caused quite a scene!

I ate it anyhow :D and the occasional worm ;)

I think I would consider eating worms, if they were offered to me covered in Nutella. :-D

I discovered this bliss in 1979 on my first trip to France....and was overjoyed about a decade later when it finally showed up here, but ?? was right...it does taste differently here than there!

I'll have to bring some back from Italy next month to see. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it!

In a follow-up to the Rodele Conspiracy thread, I present these questions to you.

As the OP of "The Rondele Conspiracy", thank you for the homage.

As a chemistry graduate, I appreciate his curiosity and use of the Scientific Method:

* Ask a Question
* Do Background Research
* Construct a Hypothesis
* Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
* Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
* Communicate Your Results

I discovered it in Florence in 1990. The weekend Margaret Thatcher resigned as Prime Minister of England. Curious how I remember those two incidents. Must have had a profound effect on my life! :eek::confused::p

Must say, the Nutella has remained with me since then, but Maraget, alas, has faded ......

Do you dare doubt my dedication to FT and science? :D I also spent portions of that hour eating the other nutella packets and surfing FT. I found a couple of Rondele packets at home. Now to see if freezing makes them open easier.... One of the scientists here proposed quick freezing nutella with liquid nitrogen, but concern was voiced that it would degrade product quality. Give me a few more hours....
