You are right...I stand corrected...I thought you were referring to my original post. I was distracted by my stomach growling... :D

However...your average customer out there may indeed be disappointed when they consult all of these publicly available pieces of information...including their e-receipt that clearly state "dinner" and nothing of the sort is served.

Aww...that's cute. You think the "average" customer goes onto four different websites just to see what their meal would be....... NOT.

As LukeSkyWaiter pointed out, when actually purchasing the ticket it shows no meal. Therefore, the "average" passenger is now aware there is no meal on this flight. S/he then doesn't feel it necessary to go to as many websites as he can to find conflicting information.

We appreciate your die-hard commitment to our excellence. You should join our ranks. You could print out our websites, highlight all the mistakes you find. Then, take it to Larry and see if he'll hire you to fix everything you found wrong;)

Sounds perfect! But, don't make any mistakes, or we'll post them on here too:)

Actually...what you said above is not true. If you were to go on to the website to purchase a first class ticket on CO 573 between YYZ-EWR it would say "Dinner." In fact, if you purchase a coach ticket it will say "Snack." It would also say this on the eticket receipt.

BTW - I never make mistakes. :p

Putting aside the patronizing tone of your post, CO actually does use the FT community for feedback like this. Many of us participate in the beta testing of the website when updates are released. The PDA site was shared with the FT community first, and we were given a few weeks to beat on it and provide feedback before it went live for the world to see. We've been asked to report when processes like upgrade wait lists are not working correctly. This report is in line with those things that CO management has specifically asked for. And they get it for free; all Larry has to do is have us all down for dinner once a year.

We share good and bad experiences here. That's part of feedback.

Oh, yeah. We definitely do that here. :p :D

i think this should be addressed. It is confusing sometimes. And this is not the end of the world, but it shows inconsistencies. The CO website and PDA site says that on transcons there are 4 meal choices for FC. On my EWR-SFO-EWR flights there were only 3 choices. Apparently, they dropped the seafood option. I think this is something they need to change on the websites.

Website error aside, I think common sense should prevail here - serving 'dinner' on a flight averaging 35-40 mins from top-of-climb to beginning of descent would tax even the hyper-efficient staff of SQ, even to 8 customers.

As my mother always reminded me - The homeless would be glad to have pretzels for dinner.

It could be worse, it could be cheese soup!

Given that one of CO's competitors, Porter Airlines, serves a snack box with a cold sandwich to all passengers on the Toronto-Newark route, it wouldn't be a stretch to expect CO to provide a snack-like meal in F.

They should do like Usairways and Delta and have a snack basket in firstclass with a variety of snacks to choose from like chips, cookies, crakers etc for the short haul flights at least u can say u had some good snacks on the short hops instead of the same snack that they get in coach dried up pretzels

I wouldn't doubt it - but a snack box is not really a F meal. If they handed out a cold sandwich and apple in F and called it 'dinner', people would complain.

Now, if they called it a snack, and brought around a DL/NW style basket with a selection of fruit, cookies, cheese, candy and chips, then expectations would be met, if not exceeded - but snack baskets are not part of the CO catering experience. A cold plate (standard F snack) is too involved for such a short flight.

It was more just my way to pick on one thing instead of looking at the whole picture like others do ;) Part of the fun of being on here.

As far as FT, I've been a member of FT before I worked for CO. So, I do understand what the company has used it for.

And, shame on me for taking LSW's answer of booking the ticket as solid. I should know better than to trust a flight attendant in giving the right answer, hehe;)

I apologise for going on his information. I should've known that I'd have to log in and actually check it for myself.

Hey now! Ha..

My apologies for inaccurate information, but when I did a search for F for YYZ-EWR, the few flights that were showing up on CO metal showed "none" ... don't know what was up with that, but that is in fact what the website showed when I made my post :)
