Getting ready for the conversion

I am getting ready to make the big move from UA to CO. Since I have not been following the CO forum what negative changes are happening in 2009. I know UA is dropped the 500 min. Are they reducing the bonus EQM’s also. Just want to make sure I am making the right move. The CO FT seem much nicer than the UA FT people and I am hoping to join team. I have two UA MP Visa with Chase do you think Chase would convert my UA cards to CO cards without having to apply again. If I convert now will they give me status during Feb 2010?
Thanks in advance for a any advice.

CO has also dropped the 500 minimums effective soon.

I wouldn't expect your CC to migrate without applying anew, which is likely good for you as you'll get the bonus miles for the new application.

And it is going to be late '09 before the shift really happens, so you've got plenty of time.

Does CO still have the 5% discount on tickets for the first year? That would be another reason to migrate the cc as well.

The END of the 500 mile minimum starts next year:
Effective for travel on or after Jan. 1, 2009, OnePass members will earn the actual miles flown rather than a minimum of 500 miles per flight for tickets purchased on or after Nov. 15, 2008.
