Which is Better

So the time has come for me to start redeeming some of my miles for my upcoming trip to Barcelona (7/30-8/4) and I have already booked some flights but as a PM on DL I can make changes without any fee so I was wondering what you loyal CO elites feel is the better plane for a transatlantic flight.

For BF, do you prefer the 764 or the 757? I understand that some of the 757 don't have the AVOD system installed yet but there is no way of knowing ahead of time (unless you have the tail # written down as to AVOD Vs. NO AVOD). I'm looking more or at least, am concerned more about the seat! Which airplane has the more comfortable seat?

I personally like the 764 center seat (like 3D), because there's nobody to deal with in the window. Some folks don't like the center seat because it's possible to get bumped from both sides...I've never had that problem, but some seem to have.

BusinessFirst or Y?

Also, you may want to do a search as this has been discussed many times.

If I'm traveling alone, definitely 764. As indicated above, those single middle seats are great. If I'm traveling with someone it does not matter but AVOD would be a plus.

All 757 have AVOD in BF, they're just over 1/2 way complete for Y.

You have the AVOD backwards -- as JetSet says, all 757 have AVOD in BF, while the 767s do not.

As for the seat, it is completely identical between the two planes, with the exception that the seat on the 767 is 1" wider. That makes no difference to me, but may to you if you are on the larger side.

Other intangibles are that it simply feels roomier to be on the widebody, but OTOH some feel you have more personal service on the 757. IMO it makes very little difference which you choose, both are very nice.
