E-mail

I also got an EUA e-mail this morning. :)

Had a schedule change on a February itinerary but no notification. No big deal but it just reminds you to keep track of all of your itineraries which can be a pain.

This happened to me as well

I just returned from a trip and did not receive the usual notifications from Coninental on my outbound flight. I checked my account and found that my email address was not appearing in the relevant fields. I entered it and all was well on my return trip.

I've reset everything...

...and now I will see if e-mail notification resume for my next flight later this week.

Looking through my e-mails, I pretty much lost all e-mail notifications from Continental, including specials, etc., although everything was checked. Probably just a glitch, but clearly a pretty widespread one.

I did not receive the "check in now" email for my flight this evening, nor did I receive the 24 hour trip alert notifications. I think something is definitely wrong.

After resetting everything the notifications have restarted. Pain in the rear, but it is now fixed.

Simply turned off all notifications, then turned back on all notifications.

If you are on a Chautauqua flight, the notifications won't work until December, accordint to COInsider. That includes notification about check-in, as well as any flight delays/cancellations.

They have had trouble connecting Chautauqua's systems with the CO alert system.

Nope - regular CO metal and CO Express. Got it fixed by resetting everything.

Back to getting the emails; but the phone calls have stopped (and how sad, I put Steve Miller Band's Jet Airliner as the ringtone for CO Alerts)

I seem to be getting e-mails now after redoing all of my settings.

It was actually a worthwhile exercise because I found out that CO is supported real SMS alerts now! When did this start? Did I miss this discussion?

They made mention of it at the DO, so it isn't that new. Dunno that it was ever really discussed here. They are indeed real SMS messages, not just emails to the SMS gateway of the mobile carriers.

Living in CRP I never get flight status on my outgoing (I don't think CHQ sends the information... probably the dreaded IT issue). I set up both SMS and email. Both fail consistantly on CHQ and are spotty at best on mainline flights.

I also never get connecting info. That would be a nice new feature... know your gate when you land at the hub and wheather you need to trample the women and children in front of you to make the connection

I guess in 2008 I'll add % of trip alerts to my signature.

Chautauqua has computers?

I think that what I meant to say was they are having a problem integrating the chalkboard tracking of flights at CHQ with the state-of-the-art systems CO uses... ;)

I reset my spam filters. No dice. Went on the website and reset my settings. Got e-mails for my latest flights. Annoying.

If it does not work again on Thursday, I'll report back.
