There's a guy semi-hovering at the RCC door. Like gate lice, but more .

Good morning, Box! Happy travels to all of you jetting about the country. I will look up and see if I recognize any of you.;) And for those of you heading over to Mackie-land, please give the semi-new dog a head scratch for me.:D

Good , box.

I'll wave as we fly over AUS, twice, once from SAN, and again to MAF.

I agree with all those points you mentioned. We, collectively, will have to foot the bill for those type of medical issues that will continue to increase as the populace gets heavier & heavier, aside from the longevity issues.

On the rare occasion that I watch 'Biggest Loser' -- I am always impressed by the courage & dedication it takes for those people to commit to losing the weight.^ I appreciate that these people have gone through extensive medical check-ups to make sure that they can actually subject their bodies to the rigorous exercise demanded of them.

I do understand what Brit was saying about not 'judging' someone, in particular, if their specific circumstances aren't known. I agree that the media influences our society in an unhealthy way & that has definitely affected young people in terms of the harsh stereotypes that they develop, in a very superficial way. I just try to set the example for my kids by showing them how I treat other people & 'try' not to make disparaging remarks, but rather put things in a 'positive' light.^

Plus1 to all.

There can be some EXTREMELY decent hotel rates, at least in the Hyatt and SPG chains (haven't looked at any others) in the Northern Virginia area, and then you still have all the resources of DC easily accessible. I wouldn't throw it out immediately..

I might have to look into those hotels to do a few runs for Hyatt. Maybe I could take the girls to DC for the weekend. Any suggestions on which Hyatts I should consider? Preferably one's that are on a train/subway line into DC so I don't have to drive dowtown?

Some sad aviation news this morning...

Polish president killed in Tu-154 crash

How many of you have ever flown in this type of aircraft, just out of curiosity?

Quite sad news to wake up to, indeed.

I never got the Tu-154. I think it was part of the original 'Stans planning but that fell through.

I schlepped all the way from C30 to F3 at ORD just to get photos of the RCC over here. What a dump. It isn't that bad, really, but way worse than the two in B. And no yogurt. :td:

On the plus side, I found a TMo card on a table and apparently multiple logins are permitted. :D (The Boingo hotspot is effed up here)

Polish president is dead, when his TU154 crashed after clipping trees on landing.

edit: was just reading the article and mwg25 and sbm12 posted before me...

I propose that we start talking about movies on twitter more, even terrible upcoming movies so that we can skew their results :D

This morning in the MSP RCC (pretty nice, and with yogurt^) the group in front was chatting with the woman at the desk and something came up about if they had tix or were just hanging out at the airport and how strange that would be. I suggested that I've done precisely that and that it wasn't so crazy. She :rolleyes:d at me.

I do wish it would warm up so I could get out on the bike trails. I don't mind cool but it's really windy and my ears don't like windchills.

Here were my favorites. Winners get a :-:.

Best FT-specific one: "No, you don't seem to understand. I'm Global Services." (Copa) (I think I'm going to make this one and drop on on the UA forum sometime)

Best in keeping with LOLcats form: "Is. Not. Possible." (cheepneezy)

Wife's favorite: "My play date was cancelled? Get my assistant on the phone." (Copa, for the extra :-:)
