Like I said, it used to be going to shows for the party, but it's become a time and place to reconnect with good friends (ok, and have a party as well). And those later weekend shows were basically my only respite from taking care of mom and dad.

We were at the Houston airport festival. It was quite nice (especially after I convinced bl jr there was more to it than the bouncy) and we really enjoyed ourselves. They had a drawing and Plus1 won a Coors Light Super Bowl sign. :D Yes, that will be brought to every local box gathering. We were considering giving it to Mackieman and the Mrs for their housewarming, but thought it may be too good for them, being as it's Coors light and all ;) And yes, I know this post is useless without pictures so I will be sure to post the photo soon!

bl jr was thrilled because she was sure we weren't going to win anything and carried the sign around. A proud moment of motherhood to see my six year old carrying a Coors light sign. I can see her moving into the frat house now . . . :o

I am good at taking her shopping, taking her to get her hair/nails done, taking her to the movies, taking her for lunch - if it costs money, then I do okay. Patience and tolerence, not so much. We have rules here and they aren't the same as what she's used to. Basically, I feel like I'm being a b!tch most of the time. Then I ask Plus1 to enforce, and I look like I'm being the b!tch with him. Must remember to take Xanax tomorrow. @:-)
