What does the SEQ number mean?

Just wondering if anyone knows what the significance of the SEQ number is on tickets. Does this have anything to do with your position on the upgrade standby list?

It is the order that you checked in online. It also helps them check you in at the gate if the scanner isn't working or you have a bad printout of your BP.

It is the order you checked in. It only matters for upgrades if you are the same elite level and fare code of another passenger almost like a tie breaker I believe.
