Of course, you are a newly minted, shiny Silver Elite right now! ;) Even if you don't get a card, you'll get all the benefits. I think that the only time I have ever pulled out the Elite card is to either (a) check the toll free number or (b) use it to get in the elite security filter line if I am not flying with CO. :eek:

I'm PLAT now but most likely will be a lowly Silver next year....I'll probably fly more on NW since I have a 75% UG success rate on their flights!

What you will get is an evelope with a nice new blue card with the words SILVER ELITE in small white lettering. Of course you will get the usual congratulations and thank you letter along with the standard OnePass booklet of which all of the information is available online. There might be a Hertz discount coupon good for weekly rental along with ads for to Continental Vacations.

Plat kit arrived
 

I received my Plat kit today which was qualified on 9/2.
Also my son's kit arrived at the same time, which he was qualified on 9/4.

Both seems to be sent out on 9/15.

Just FYI, Plat kit contains, as reported on 2006 kit thread (nothing new):

2006 Plat card attached to congratulation letter
2006 elite member's guide (common to silver/gold/plat)
4 continental currency coupons
2 luggage ID card (sticker)

Same as Gold kit. Too bad. I will make plt this year for the first time. May be I can score more upgrades

I qualified for silver the first time in many years and got my package. In the past (late late 90s), I got 2 coupons for P-Club and 2 Elite tags.

Sounds like the elite tags have gone away completely? You get the per-trip Elite Access tag instead? Aren't the stickers that come with the package the same kind you can get at check-in counters?

The Elite packages used to be so nice and were always appreciated mail. Now they are basically wasted mass-mailing postage or soften-the-blow-forecasts if you view the currency coupons as "you will not be receiving upgrades as frequently as in years past and the related free drinks and headsets that come with them, so you might want to hold on to these for your coach trips."

I turned Silver for the first time in August...I got my new card and a small booklet, but no coupons or anything else.
