PC Access at PBI?

I understand there is no PC or NW WC at PBI.

I am flying into PBI where I have 3 hours connection before going in F onto EWR and GIG,
any lounge access at PBI to a CO intl F flyer?

The Delta Room seems to be in concourse C, are gate passes obtainable?

Should have no trouble getting a gate pass.

I have not tried it in PBI but have had no trouble in other airports.

I have had trouble in PBI...once the Rent-A-Cop person gave me an issue asking why I was taking bags through security with a gatepass.

The second time, the DL agent downright refused to give me a gatepass as, "I had no good reason to want to use the DL lounge". However, the PBI CRC is actually pretty nice and if allowed it sure beats waiting in the gate area.

I heard a rumor that CO with NW is looking to aquire the old US Airways Club in Term B. and turn it into a PClub. I realze that rumors are not usually correct but the source seemed pretty sure.

This would be a great move, maybe if these recent fuel surcharges stick...
Or alternatively, couldn't they just move gates to the concourse with DL and share the DL club? I presume that's not as easy as it sounds...

I was through 2 weeks ago and asked NWA about using the CRC....they weren't aware of the change this past December about us being able to use CRC without flying DL and "thought" security would allow me through with my card and NW boarding pass with a simple answer of "using the CRC" if security asked...unfortunately the line was huge to get through to security so I decided against trying it but might try it this weekend if I get there early enough....BTW they didn't mention anything about a WC being added and I doubt it's true...NWA only has 2 flights per day, can't see it making any sense to the bean counters

socrates Apr 24, 2006 1:08 pm

Ok, had time to visit the CRC this past Saturday

NWA still wasn't sure if the TSA would let me through with my NWA BP, WC Membership & Drivers L so they said to double check with DL, asked the DL agent working the line to the kiosks who instructed me to cut the line and see the counter supervisor, she wasn't sure and called someone and ended up issuing security/gate passes for myself and my 2 guests, I presented the DL gate pass, NWA BP & Drivers L (wasn't thinking otherwise I wouldn't have presented the NWA BP)....TSA instructed me I couldn't enter because NWA was in another concourse so I instructed them to see the DL gate pass, was allowed to enter :)

It's a little annoying that DL's CRC Agents are required asked for BP's and to record Airline and FL # for everyone entering the club but it's only a minor issue....avg club (reminds me of the EWR WC) nothing special but a quiet spot to sit and relax

When I saw the US Airways club had closed, I was really hoping that someone at Continental took notice of that empty club right near their gates! Oh, that would be so great if Continental appropriated that club! The Delta club is nice (really small though) but I fly Continental more often.

Yes it could be....but would be is a better question....I know in IAH TSA will let you through with either a PC/Driver L or WC/Driver L to use the club (no BP needed) but there's a thread here about someone trying this in EWR and the counter agent threated to call the police...we all know TSA isn't consistant on anything, heck in PBI they insisted on swabbing my sandles in the C concourse (I think that's the DL concourse) and going completely through my carryon and my guests carry on but over at the A/B concourse (NW/CO/US) they had no issues with any of it (A/B has the puffer screeners but I didn't use them either)

I agree it would be nice but I think all airlines have a better use for their capital these days

I have used the CRC in PHX when traveling on CO. It's in another terminal, but when I tell the TSA agents why I am in the wrong concourse of the wrong terminal, they let me through. It's about a five minute walk from CO, but my PHX friends always seem to drop me off two hours early and it's a nice way to kill the time. Their staff is very friendly.

You go over to the other Terminal? I'm in PHX all the time and haven't even concieved the notion of going to use the DL CRC.

When I have two hours or more. Since I am a Priority Pass member, i can use the RCC in the same terminal as CO, but it is really small and the trip to the CRC is easy and the club is very pleasant.

How is the RCC over there? It can't be as small as the SEA PC.
