Vincent - I was actually paying CO a COmpliment. My upgrade went through, despite a small FC cabin, at the 5-day mark (there was even an empty FC seat). How can you call that attitude?

I started the thread as a complaint about the lack of complimentary upgrades I've been experiencing this year, which I I feel I'm entitled to in a forum like FT.

I've never taken the upgrades for granted, however, it seems to me they are a lot harder to get lately.

Just a shared observation from a FFF (fellow frequent flyer).

I cant stress enough how important that is, often angry elites are those who take things for granted.

[Sorry if you were paying a compliment, just seems these days everyone is complaining about lack of upgrades.]

You, of course are entitled to whatever you may want to think, but typically I would save such constructive critisim for a PVT message...

I think you are probably right about limiting observations and opinions which might be considered a little personal to PVT messages. @:-)

I have been seeing the exact opposite for some reason. My upgrade percentage this year is near 70%, which is really pretty darn good considering my home base is EWR. Last week alone I got my upgrade for EWR-DEN, DFW-IAH and IAH-PHX.

Yesterday I found out I was EUA'd for my EWR-FLL and MCO-EWR segments this week. (MCO-EWR is a 752, I am hoping its BF). Not sure why I am having such good success lately (I am not consciously buying a higher fare class) but I sure as hell aint complaining. I have EWR-LAX, EWR-ATL and EWR-CUN in Apri, so I will let you know if the good run continues...
