If the FA gave out a copy of an incident report with a passenger's name on it and it involved a medical incident, that is a violation of HIPAA, a federal law which strengthened medical privacy regulations to prevent information on patients from falling into unauthorized hands. There are no exceptions to HIPAA regulations, and CO could be fined some major bucks for doing just that, if indeed such information was given out inappropriately.

And yes, I am serious, HIPAA covers everyone, not just doctors, hospitals, pharmacists, pharmacies and insurance companies.

Perhaps it was just an incident form in which he can write what he observed involving the pax in seat xyz .It would be hard to see how the FA's (who are non medical) would be able to include any further medical information - on a form handed out to him almost immediately - that the passenger would not have learnt by simply being seated next to the ill passenger.
