Replacing priority handling tags?
Anyone know what CO's policy is on replacing the priority handling luggage tags? I had just put the new 2003 tags on my luggage before taking a recent NW flight. Both bags came out with the tags missing.
On a related topic, is there a NW-CO labor dispute going on? It seems like quite a coincidence that both tags would vanish on the same flight (and my bags came out dead last, too), leading me to suspect foul play... |
Just send OnePass an email or call them. They'll send out replacements.
PS...it has taken you a long time to make 11 posts, huh? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
I believe that if you call the OP service center and request new tags that they will send you a replacement set.

What do you need those tags for anyway, they just guarantee that your bags are gonna come out in the first half 50% of the time. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Good luck getting them. Please post if you do. I've called after having both my 2003 tags cut off and they claim they "just can't" send replacements... they don't have them or something. They "just don't do that" or some other lame excuse. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

Might be off topic, but closely related, does anyone here know how to use those transparent "string loops" that CO sends out with these tags? I got them before in the 2001 Elite kit, and they're back to it this year. (I was never able to figure out what to do with those...I was actually quite happy with last year's tag..... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif )

EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone to or through Atlanta, my elite tags have been removed. A lady at Onepass said that is very common, as DL baggage handlers are contracted for CO flights. Even when I was flying UA, my tags would routinely be removed in ATL.
Onepass has been very good at replacing mine. UA's standard response was "we'll send you one more in 4 to 6 weeks". |

Thanks! I tried it! It worked! Kinda tight fit though on my TravelPro.... But thanks again....felt so stupid not knowing how to use that simple, yet interesting device.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ------------------ SFnFlaGuy |
I agree that, at least 75% of the time, the tags are completely useless. Some airports are much better than others, though.
I call every year to get two additional tags so when I travel with my family, we have tags on all our bags (not that it helps much). I was told the other day that "two additional tags is the limit". Now this was for extra tags, not for replacement tags. But there's no way that the OP agent would know if you really lost the tags or not. You should be able to get at least two tags, UNLESS this is estabished based on Elite status (I am Plat). Give it a try. |
