It seems that the general consensus is that I sought this comp simply to get upgraded. That assumption would be inaccurate. My decision to switch was due to company policy. FWIW, I've been comped status on a number of airlines (4 of the 5 majors), and at a hotel chain. Seems they all do it to gain business, although CO seems extremely aggressive about giving comps. As our friend from Saipan wrote, there is a lot of good information to be gained here, and a lot of friendly folks. You will sometimes have to ignore all the (sometimes justifiably) angry voices and the occasional troll to get to the good stuff, though. Welcome, and glad to have you here. |
Is there any limit to the number of times you can get CO to match your status on another airline? Specifically, if I have CO match my AA Platinum this year, would it be harder for me to get them to match it a year or two down the line?

From my understanding, a CO status match is a ONE TIME ONLY thing. I wouldn't do it unless you're planning on spending a lot of time on CO metal.
Thanks, also, to those who wrote is support and welcome. Best wishes! FloridaFlyers (aka Randy) P.S. I did get EUA notification 1:30am EST Saturday morning for Monday's CLE-PHX leg, but the MCO-CLE leg is still showing A2 F0 so I guess I'll get to the airport early and try again there. Thanks again!
